Poem: Lost and Found
It was a bitter blow,
She thought she'd never recover,
She'd just lost the love of her life, Her one and only lover.
Her sweet and gently husband, said The night before he died,
'I'll always love you darling', she just broke down and cried.
'Fear not he said, before he died, You'll never be out of sight,
I'll always keep my eye on you, Morning, noon and night'?
They gathered around his grave, and the parson said his piece,
Relatives were in attendance, With his son, daughter, and niece.
How could this thing happen, He would never hurt a fly?
Her grandson kept on asking, 'Is Grandpa in the sky'?
Her faith in life was zero,
For the pain she has been through,
The family had supported her, For they had known pain too.
One night she lay a dreaming, and an angel came to say,
'Never lose your faith my dear, just Live your life each day'.
She arose that summer's morning, After hearing the angel's sound,
The world now seemed a better place, her faith again she'd found.
