FOR the thousands of Forest fans heading to Derby for tomorrow's match, one of the most important things will be how to get to the ground in time for kick-off.

The Highways Agency is warning those travelling by car to expect a busier than normal rush-hour along the A52 Brian Clough Way.

James Lowth, regional operations manager for the Traffic Officer Service, said: "We anticipate the A52 will be busy on Friday evening.

"Because of this the Traffic Officer Service, which normally patrols the motorway in the East Midlands, will extend its service to respond to any incidents on the A52.

"We aim to clear them as quickly and safely as possible, to minimise delays for people travelling to or from the game."

Motorists can check the Highway Agency's new Traffic Radio service before their journey by tuning into a DAB digital radio or visiting www.trafficradio.org.uk

More information will also be available on the Highways Agency website, www.highways.gov.uk, or by calling 08700 660 115.

Train services will be running three times an hour in the run-up to the match.

At the end of the game, there will be four trains heading from Derby to Nottingham between 9.30pm and midnight.
