A TRAM has collided with a car in Nottingham city centre.

The incident happened at the junction of Waverley Street and Shakespeare Street near Nottingham Trent University at 8.55am.

A Nottingham City Transport spokeswoman said it had been a minor collision, and that there was no disruption to tram services as a result.

Eye witness Rachel Hallam, who lives on Waverley Street, said: "I was walking past the Students' Union building when I heard this massive bang.

"A car was turning but the rear of it was not out of the way of the tram and it crashed into it. All the headlights were smashed and everyone had to get off the tram."

    “Errrmmmmmmmmmmmmm:

Anyone would think you were yet another of George's alter ego's (have I spelt that correctly?).

Keep up the personal attacks, innuendo and libels if you can't manage a whole "diatribe" all by yourself/ves.

“Well George and I always thought he was such a supporter of free speech and the truth. How are the mighty fallen. If it was a threat to your person then that is a criminal offence.”

“The person who posts as "Mr BJ Mann" is not called "Mann" at all. He is masquerading as another person and defaming BJ Mann who doesn't believe a word of the drivel attributed to him by the imposter.”

“By the way BJ, just to show that I had bothered to read to the end of your diatribe the word is spelt censor in the context you employed it.”

“With difficulty BJ but as theirs are usually more interesting as well as less repetitive I persevere. The other posting may not have been from you but it certainly sums you up.”

    “Errrmmmmmmmmmmmm:

No BJ, as I explained to you in a previous posting regarding residential homes it is because I have an eyesight problem not laziness or lack of manual dexterity. I suffer from glaucoma and have lost a lot of optical nerves which means there are blank patches in my vision. In consequence if there are a lot of blank spaces on a document I find that I miss subsequent lines. Obviously I cannot expect you to change the habits of a lifetime just to accommodate me. I shall just have to concentrate on the more legible, to me, postings of others.

And how do you manage that?

What with the spaces between them?

In fact, how do you manage to get to the end of an article with that advert that keeps disappearing and reappearing?!?!?!?!?

It sounds like it nis just lazyness with the scroll wheel after all!

    .

I appreciate that there are some of the last four generations who require the Janet and John approach but there are also a large number of people of those generations who are highly literate and capable of far more than you obviously credit them with. All my ancient colleagues would also be very slighted at your suggestion that they need treating as children with a reading age of 7.

I didn'tr say they all needed treating like children.

And it's a simple fact that most people find it easier to read when text is broken up.

And easier to follow when sections are further differentiated in some way.

Hence the widespread use of more than just simple punctuation, and even paragraph breaks.

But lets make thing more difficult for the majority who want the facts.

And bow to the pressure of those who want to sensor me.

    .

I suggest you should get out and about more.

And why do you think I haven't replied earlier?

    .

    And for anyone struggling:

The4 post below isn't from me.

“May I remind you of the house rules (ref rule 7) which apply to all visitors and must be respected:

    1) BJ Mann knows everything

    2) BJ Mann is always right

    3) Anyone who disputes points 1 and 2 will be unmercifully insulted, ridiculed and abused.

    4) Irrespective of whether or not you agree with BJ Mann, BJ Mann reserves the right to insult, ridicule and abuse you.

    5) BJ Manns decision is final and always right.

    6) In case of disputes rule 5 always applies.

    7) These rules also apply to any other forum BJ Mann decides to spam with his nonsense.”
