Trade recycling binned by Gedling Borough Council.
THE TRADE recycling service provided by Gedling Borough Council is set to be binned at the end of June.
Competition from the private sector has left the self-funded scheme in a position where it could begin to lose money if it carried on.
Companies are encouraged to find the best price in the local private sector.
A reduction in demand has seen competitors and customers either downsizing or changing the frequency of collections.

The last day of the service will be 30 June 2013.
Bins will be collected in from this date. The council will continue to provide residual waste collection for businesses.
Councillor Jim Creamer, Portfolio Holder for Environment said:
“We regret the end of this service however we have to ensure we are providing the best value for our residents and in this case the best option was to stop.
"We would like to thank all the customers who have used this service and we will continue to find ways to improve sustainability in Gedling.”
