Tractor used in cash machine theft

THIEVES used a tractor to take a cash machine from the wall of the NatWest bank in Bingham overnight.

The incident happened in Market Place around 2.45am.

A police cordon is up and will remain in place while police carry out their investigations and make sure that the building is structurally safe.

No one has been arrested.

Anyone with information should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

    “How in the heck did the police not react fast enough to catch a tractor laden with stolen cash machine (possibly 2 or 3 if I recall that patch of wall correctly). Oh right.. that's it, because there are *never* any on patrol here at that time, or for that matter any time other than when the Market is on, the time a crime is probably least likely!”
