“Alas, it appears that they have their man. Come Monday lets hope he gets a hard punishment. Mind you just pray that a certain few posters on here are not in the jury, otherwise he will be let off becuase it was a "Minor Incident".
Full force of the law please judge.”

“A punch in the smeller? I'm not punching anyone in the bottom - I don't know where he's been. If he's prone to pouring booze on baby's head, then I think it's safe to assume that he has poor **** hygiene.”

“A cad of the highest order! The steel of my trusty blade is too good to stain with his ruddy gravy! To my brothers in the League of Righteous Justice...hunt down this villain, spare not neither horse nor hawk in finding him. Whence thee have him in rough bondage, send your signal (a fire 'pon Blackberry Hill!) and I will come. Then the trial, swift and bloody, can commence, (the gibbet for this crow food!) and we shall visit most noble and terrible grievance upon his genitals, scattering them into mud, where sows and ****s mix in their exquisite writhing! Let it be heard here now, this proclamation: No corner will be left unscowered, no loft unchecked, no woodland unrummaged, no Inn unprodded, till ye are found (damn your eyes sir!) ye cowardly and ungentlemanly wretch!!

    Sincerely,

    The Crimson Falcon.”

“The Ernhale has a family dining section that is very popular and trouble is a rarity there. There is no valid reason for a child to be in danger whilst dining there with his/her family.”

“My sentiment exactly BLawrenson. To be honest, whilst as a family I do enjoy the odd family pub lunch (say maybe the Vic in Beeston) with my 13, 10 yr old and 9 month old, but doubt I would have taken any of my children in to a "foody" pub in Arnold! But its wrong to argue the point that "you shouldn't take your children to where there is alcholol"... errr, Pizza Hut, Frankie & Bennys and, well, most restuarants sell alcholol!!! And you should expect the general public to behave in a more discernable way. I hope this bloke gets what's coming to him, whether its from one of the yobs on here offering to dish it out to him or from the long arm of the law!”

“Philstag, if you are following the postings then you will realize that Victor Meldrew intimated that he would have taken unproportionate action. As the father of four children I am happy to say that we never put ourselves in that position but if we had I would have been prepared to try and restrain him until the Police arrived. If he got hurt whilst I was doing so then it would have been restraint and not retaliation. Just because someone behaves like a mindless thug doesn't mean that you should respond in a like manner as Victor appeared to be suggesting.

As regards the severity of the assault, and it was an assault, I would suggest it was at the lower end of the scale compared with the sort of injuries inflicted within a family unit as featured on a fairly regular basis in the media. My question now is what were the people in the bar prepared to do ? It is amazing how many eople do not want to get involved. Then again someone who is prepared to pour a drink over a child is just as likely to glass someone who stands up to him.”

“I honestly don't know how I would react if I saw someone doing that to my little girl, I'm pretty sure my response would have been a very physical one also! Although i think i'd have challenged and restrained him until the law arrived and I'm sure i'd have been backed up too. It usually only takes one person to step and do the right thing in and then everyone else would have done the same. And I don't mean wading in kicking and punching. there's a difference between brawling and restraining!”
