FORMER Forest boss Frank Clark, currently vice-chairman of the League Managers' Association, has fond memories of Jimmy Sirrel.

But his one abiding memory has nothing to do with football.

Clark explained: "When I came back to Forest as reserve coach, Brian (Clough) ordered me, Liam O'Kane and Ronnie Fenton to run the Robin Hood Half Marathon.

"Well, about three miles from the end, I was absolutely done in and ready to stop.

"But the only thing that kept me going to the finishing line was knowing Jimmy was 20 yards behind me!"
