Think of plane crash animals
I was happy when I heard all passengers and crew escaped unharmed in the Hudson River plane crash.
Please spare a thought for all the animals that were probably in its cargo hold; their collective fate unreported.
For various reasons they travel below us on commercial flights. Plenty are known to die on journeys whether the plane crashes or not.

“Perhaps there should be a total ban on the transportation of animals on aircraft? Why do we need to transport animals over long distances in the cargo holds or indeed cabins of aircraft, unless it is guide dogs or other specially trained dogs?”
