It's very funny. But it also has some very poignant moments that everyone can relate to.
What is the history of the play?
Initially it was put on in the West End with Brian Conley taking the part of Bill to very good reviews. Since then it has developed a cult status among theatregoers.
Is there an Elton John character?
While Elton doesn't make an appearance a member of Dan's band bears a striking resemblance to him.
Do you play football on stage?
No, although Bill does sustain an injury via a very high tackle he attempts on a 16-year-old girl.
Give us a line from the play that'll make us chuckle.
I don't want to give anything away but there's a scene in which Bill avoids being seduced by his girlfriend because he's aware that there is a young girl in his bathroom – that is worth the ticket price alone!
