TWO businesswomen running textile workshops want to extend their opening hours because growing demand.

Susie Garton and Karen Taylor open The Textile Workshop in Sherwood Monday to Friday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

But they hope to allow customers to crochet and brush up on their stitching skills from 9am to 9.30pm in the week and 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Mrs Garton, 33, said: "We didn't think it would take off like it has."

They are waiting for a decision from city councillors.

The workshops cost between £60 and £86 for ten or 20-week sessions. For details call 0115 960 3337.
