Term is the One for Curtis at Ffos Las
REBECCA Curtis will be frustrated if she does not pick up a decent race at some point with One Term, who will hopefully prove the one to beat in the Glyn Abbey Maiden Hurdle at Ffos Las tomorrow.
After looking a fair prospect in bumpers, the five-year-old met a smart one in Ballyrock on his hurdling debut at Hereford in December.
Prominent from the off, the Beneficial gelding showed plenty of resolution in battling back to go down by just a head.
The merit of that effort was shown in a very good light when the winner went on to keep the much-touted Fingal Bay honest in the Grade One Challow Hurdle at Newbury.
With that in mind, it will have been a puzzle to connections that One Term disappointed when upped in class at Cheltenham, but this looks easier and it is too soon to give up on him yet.

There is no doubting Pat Murphy's nine-year-old is well handicapped if he can recapture some of his old sparkle.
There was a hint his turn might be near on his penultimate start as he was nibbled at in the betting before his run at Warwick, going off favourite on what was a return to hurdling after a spell chasing.
In the end he did not cut much ice, but he turned in a much better effort when third at Fontwell earlier this month over a trip short of his best.
The prospect of very testing ground and a return to three miles will be in his favour here, so it will be interesting to see if the market speaks in his favour.
Normally has not had much racing over the past couple of years but gave notice the engine is still there when picking up a moderate race at this track in the middle of the month – his first run since April.
