Teenage cyclist dies after road accident
A TEENAGE cyclist from Sutton-in-Ashfield has died after suffering serious injuries in a road accident.
Sapphire Brown, 17, was in collision with a black Mercedes 500SE, around 7.50pm last Friday, at the junction of the A38 Alfreton Road, with Common Road, Sutton in Ashfield.

She suffered serious injuries in the incident and died on Thursday afternoon at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre.
A Facebook group set up by friends, called Get Well Soon Sapphire Brown, was inundated with messages of condolence after the news of her death was posted on it yesterday.
A 26-year-old man driving the car sustained facial injuries, which required hospital treatment.
He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been bailed pending further inquiries.
Police have asked anyone with any information or who witnessed the crash to call the Crash Investigation Unit on 0300 300 9999.
