FOREST boss Billy Davies has only one fit senior striker going into this game with injuries ravaging his squad.

Nathan Tyson will lead the line with Rob Earnshaw (hamstring) and Joe Garner (suspended) both out.

Paul Anderson (broken arm), Arron Davies (calf), Julian Bennett (knee), Joel Lynch (back), Guy Moussi (ankle) are all missing while Brendan Moloney and back up goalkeeper Paddy Gamble are both cup tied.

Young guns Adam Newbold, Ryan Whitehurst and academy striker Nialle Rodney could all be drafted in to the squad while under-18 goalkeeper Karl Darlow will be on the bench.

Derby boss Nigel Clough has lost Miles Addison to a hamstring injury but Andy Todd is expected to recover from the same problem.

New signing Chris Porter is ineligible to play.

FOREST: Smith, Chambers, Morgan, Breckin, Perch, Wilson, McGugan, McCleary, Cohen, Thornhill, Tyson, Reid, Byrne, Bencherif, Rodney, Newbold, Whitehurst, Darlow

DERBY: Bywater, Connolly, Albrechtsen, Todd, McEveley, Stewart, Barazite, Sterjovski, Savage, Green, Teale, Hulse, Commons, Carroll, Villa, Varney, Nyatanga.

“Look, stop moaning about the size of the squad for tonights game.
Any player signed in the last week or so would not have been eligible to play tonight anyway.

Also, even thought the window has closed, BD can still make loan signings to bolster the squad next week.

All this complaining is getting tedious.”

“Good luck tonight lads, lets beat them with half our former academy team. I will be going to tonights game with more trepidation than hope. The possible team (from the squad available) really does bring home the enormity of the problem facing Billy Davies and the stupidity of CC's policy of having such a small squad. Coupled with the lack of ambition & investment into the squad during the summer & in the recent transfer window we are left with a paper thin squad of mainly youngsters to keep us in a division that it took us three seasons to reach. The absolute lunacy of this policy being followed by ND & MA with regard to new players that are badly needed beggars belief. Funds are available in January I was personally told by MA. Well I've got a fiver in my pocket but that will not get the job done. I am very, very concerned that we will be playing in division 3 (league 1) again next year. A result tonight will be a miracle, but if we are allowed only one miracle a season, I would rather take the miracle that is needed to keep us up! I have always supported Nigel Dougherty and thank him for everything, but the time for soft PR & nice little statements is past, the side needs investment & fast or wave goodbye to Championship football at the end of this season.”
