A MAN with 24 celebrity portrait tattoos has managed to get half of them signed.

Alice Cooper became the 12th star to autograph a tattoo of himself on the body of civil servant Steve Porter after performing at the Concert Hall.

Mr Porter, 41, pictured, of Strelley, immediately went to his favourite tattoo parlour to make the signature permanent before it rubbed off.

His other signed tattoos include Ozzy Osbourne, Andrea Corr, Anastasia and the entire Iron Maiden line-up.

Mr Porter says his next tattoo will be of Lemmy, from rock band Motorhead.
