The award went to the junior driver who had displayed the most grit, determination and potential throughout the season.
It was presented to the Dagfa House pupil by Lawrence Tomlinson, owner of Ginetta Sports Cars.
Swanwick stepped up from karting last year and had not even driven a car with a gearbox until last February.
But in his rookie year he managed to finish seventh in the junior rankings with Tollbar Racing.
Swanwick will lead GB squad Team Parker in its maiden attack on the Ginetta Junior Series Porsche Carrera Cup this season.
He said: "It was a fantastic night and just spurs me on to do even better this year, but at the moment there's little spare time, what with my exams and revision.
"Then it will be full bore in readiness for the first meeting of the year at Thruxton on April 3 and 4."
