IN My Father And Other Superheroes, we learn what sort of a father pop culture can be when there are no other available options.

The one-man show written by and starring Nick Makoha details his journey from learning that he was going to be a father, to realising he had no idea how to be a father, to discovering what it takes to be a father. And a hero.

It's about absent parents, about growing up, and about heroes. Batman gets a look in, as does the Hulk. And then there's the young Jedi Luke Skywalker – another young man just looking for his dad. In the one-man, one-hour production, the audience is introduced to an eight-year-old boy, a grown man – and a superhero .

AN Ashes summer looms on the horizon, and, if you're a cricket fan, you can get yourself in the mood tonight with tales from two of the game's great raconteurs.

Test Match Special icons Peter Baxter and Henry Blofeld take to the stage for an evening of cricketing stories and humour. With 75 years of broadcasting between them, the former producer and the plummy, pigeon-spotting broadcaster make perhaps an unlikely team. Which will undoubtedly be part of the fun.
