DELE Adebola today revealed a sense of fear is driving Nottingham Forest to extend their unbeaten record away from home in the Championship.

Billy Davies' side are the only team in the country yet to lose on their travels this season.

And, while the international break will provide a welcome respite from the action this weekend, the striker says Forest are already looking forward to facing Middlesbrough in their next outing on November 21.

He admits they will travel to the Riverside with a sense of trepidation – but insists that will only fire them on.

"The away form here is magnificent this season," said Adebola.

"And, to be honest, everyone who plays is a little bit scared of being in the team that eventually loses away from home.

"There is really a lot of effort going into maintaining that run. The potential is here for everyone to see."

Forest are also unbeaten in their last eight matches overall, following the 1-1 draw with Bristol City on Saturday.

It is a run the striker believes is making the squad mentally tougher.

"The longer it goes on, the stronger we get because the young players here are only getting more experience," he said.

"We are playing some fantastic football and this time next year you do not know what the future holds for some of these young lads.

"They could be playing at a higher level but all of them should be pushing the club and themselves forwards because they are talented lads."

Adebola believes Forest's high levels of fitness will also help to drive them onwards.

"We are starting very brightly, passing the ball really well and maintaining our levels for 90 minutes. I am not sure there are many teams who are doing that," he said.

"We are still a work in progress, we are trying to improve all the time and we will see where that takes us.

"But we want to keep the progression going.

"From the beginning of the season it was widely stated that this was a new team that would take time to gel. But you can see we are moving in the right direction. We are starting to get the results we deserve."
