Strictly team takes shape for city shows
THE first celebrities to join the Strictly Come Dancing 2013 UK Live Tour have just been announced.
Former Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer and former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan are among those coming to the Capital FM Arena on February 7 and 8. Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli will return as judges, and Kate Thornton will host.
"I've had an absolute ball on the show and the chance to carry on dancing, and in front of thousands of people, is too good to miss," says Riley, who last appeared on stage in Nottingham in The Vagina Monologues four years ago.
Harmer adds: "I'm really thrilled to be part of the Strictly tour. I'm looking forward to bringing some of the glitz and glamour to the fans all over the country.
"The competition on tour will be just as tough as it is on TV, so I hope to win plenty of votes from the arena audiences."
Vaughan says: "Learning so many different dances has been a huge challenge for me, but an amazing experience.
"I'm really looking forward to testing myself with the new routines we'll be performing on the tour."
The Strictly tour has been seen by more than 1.5 million people over the past five years. Other celebrities from the current series will be added to the 2013 tour line-up soon.
There will be three shows at the Capital FM Arena at 7.30pm on February 7 and 8, with a matinee performance on the second day.
