"The charity's history in the county spans more than 100 years and their work supporting vulnerable children is as important now as it has ever been.

"For many, Christmas is a time of great happiness, but for some young people it can be an extremely difficult time of year. I hope that people will join me in supporting the NSPCC."

The Dean of Southwell, the Very Revd John Guille, said: "This special evening promises to be a superb way to enjoy seasonal music, with some thought-provoking stories. "
