Star shines on...
COURAGE comes in many forms and teenager Eliese Argyle had lots.
The 17-year-old died of cystic fibrosis at the City Hospital in March.
But she never allowed her illness to affect her love of life, family and friends.
Eliese maintained a positive outlook despite the impact of the disease and the extensive list of medication she had to take to control it.
Many of us allow our heads to drop when faced with challenges that pale in comparison. But not Eliese. Her efforts put our struggles in context.
Now family and friends are responding to her death in a way she would have appreciated. They are raising money for the charity, When You Wish Upon A Star, which pays for terminally ill children and their families to have wonderful trips.
Eliese and her family benefited from the charity's support and now they want others to have similar experiences. Family and friends have organised a charity football tournament and raffle in her honour. It's a good cause if you are able to support them.
