MANSFIELD Town today lost six points from their seasonal tally after it was confirmed Chester City will not appeal against their expulsion from the Blue Square Premier.

The Football Conference will now circulate a new table with immediate effect.

And that will have the Stags' 1-0 and 4-0 wins over the Blues wiped off – much to their detriment.

Goals scored against Chester in the Blue Square Premier will not be included in players' seasonal tallies, but goals against them in the FA Cup or FA Trophy will not be affected.

City were expelled from the Conference last month because of their dire financial state.
