St Ann's man 'very, very sorry' for causing death by careless driving near Newark
A MAN has admitted causing death by careless driving after a crash on the A46 near Newark.
Dean Symons, 52, of Mickleborough Avenue, St Ann's, pleaded guilty at Nottingham Crown Court this morning.
Lance Corporal Christopher Bradshaw, 30, of Telford, Shropshire, was driving a blue Fiat Punto when it was in collision with an articulated lorry, which overturned.
Mr Bradshaw was based at RAF Digby, in Scopwick Heath, Lincolnshire.

Two other articulated lorries and a Fiat Brava were also involved in the crash.
The accident happened just after 5am on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at the Farndon junction of the A46, and B6166. The road was closed until 7.30am on the Sunday.
The court was told Symons, who wore a suit and tie in the dock, was very, very sorry.
The delay in the case was not attributable to the defendant, the court heard.
Expert reports had been required to look at what happened at the scene of the accident.
Symons was told he would now be subject to an interim driving ban before he is sentenced on April 5. He is on bail.
Judge Jonathan Teare apologised to the victim's family, who were in court, for having to adjourn the case.
