Team news: Notts are sweating on the fitness of top scorer Jeff Hughes, who missed the midweek game with Walsall through injury but defender Julian Kelly is fit. Long-term absentees Stephen Hunt (ankle) and goalkeeper Rob Burch (knee) remain sidelined. Allen could go with the same 11 from midweek but if Jeff Hughes is fit, he could come in for Jon Harley, with Alan Sheehan dropping back to left-back.

Team news: Stevenage striker Craig Reid has been sidelined with a groin injury but returned in the club's Hertfordshire Senior Cup 5-0 win over Barnet in midweek, coming off the bench, He could be involved but midfielder John Mousinho is ruled out with a metatarsal injury. Chuks Aneke is back from suspension. Irish striker Don Cowan is also pushing for a start after scoring four goals in the midweek cup victory.
One to remember: Stacy Long. The midfielder was given his first taste of senior football with Notts County, after being released by Charlton Athletic without making an appearance. He spent one season at Meadow Lane under the management of Gudjon Thordarson, making ten starts and 13 more from the bench. He scored twice, the first on his debut in a 1-0 win against Wrexham back in August 2005. He spent three seasons with Ebbsfleet before joining Stevenage in the summer of 2009, helping them win back-to-back promotions into League One.
