Skatepark is set for refurbishment
A SKATEPARK in Lady Bay is to be refurbished.
Rushcliffe Borough Council, with support from Notts County Council's Local Improvement Scheme, will shortly be undertaking refurbishment and improvement works to the skatepark at The Hook in Lady Bay.
Originally constructed in 1998, The Hook was Nottinghamshire's first skatepark with a "halfpipe" – a ramp with two vertical sides resembling a pipe that has been cut in half.
The council says the equipment in the skatepark has become outdated and worn.

After the refurbishment, the new skatepark will have new, reshaped ramps.
It will be the same size as the current skatepark.
The money will also be used to help upgrade the play area and sports facilities next to the skate park site.
