A TEENAGER is hosting a skateboarding competition to raise money for an indoor skate park.
Joey Shepherd, 18, of Trent Boulevard, has organised the event because there is no indoor skate park in Notts.

He is appealing to anyone, of any age, to come along and take part or watch the competition at Lady Bay Skate Park on Sunday.
He said: "Anyone of any standard can take part – from beginners to really good.
"There's going to be competitions on the half-pipe and the skating area."
Joey has been skating for 10 years and helped raise money for the Lady Bay Skate Park.
He held cake sales and other fund-raising events to raise the money.
This is the first skating competition he has organised and he hopes it will raise money and awareness about the lack of indoor skating facilities.
He said: "During winter there is nowhere for us to go.
"We have to travel miles out of town to go somewhere we can skateboard.
"The nearest one is in Leicester but we don't want to have to travel that far."
Robin Waite is the owner of Non Stop Skate Shop in St James' Street and is supporting Joey's competition.
He said skateboarders have been asking for an indoor skate park for years and there is an online petition on Facebook.
"There are more than 1,000 names on the petition," he said.
The organisation is also going to apply for grants from funding bodies such as the Lottery.
The skate board competition is at Lady Bay Skate Park on Sunday from midday.
