Siemens announces 45 job cuts in Beeston

SOME 45 people could be made redundant at Siemens Enterprise Communications Ltd in Beeston, it was announced today.

The company plans to close its software development team, which employs a sixth of the workforce at the site in Technology Drive.

Paul Moulds, operations director, said: "Unfortunately due to the economic situation worldwide we've had to declare 45 jobs at risk at Beeston.

"It's a reflection of the economic environment we live in today.

"We're now consulting with employees for 30 days, if the plan goes ahead we expect the unit to close in August or September."

    Yes! but will Paul Molds be one of those losing his job???

    When we have a Britain that returns to the National interest and not the global one, there will be no need for jobsworth's such as Paul”
