Siege mentality sees Darlo home against Notts
DARLINGTON boss Dave Penney praised the siege spirit of his young side to beat Notts County last night.
The Quakers had four teenagers in the squad because of injuries and suspensions to a string of first-team players.
And the match-winner, Robin Hulbert, was making a rare start.
Despite all of that, they claimed the club's first win since they went into administration last week and were docked ten points.
Penney said: "It was a great performance when you consider how many players we had missing. Because of the injuries we knew it was going to be backs to the wall. We lost a couple of players to injury and Steve Foster played even though he maybe shouldn't have done."
