Shreck focuses on the job in hand
CHARLIE Shreck insists he has no problem with being overlooked for international recognition this summer.
The right arm paceman took his 50th first-class Notts wicket of a hugely impressive season as they took the upper hand on the first day of the County Championship clash with title rivals Somerset.

Shreck has been forced to watch on as five different team-mates players earned England call-ups.
But his sole motivation is to guide his county to Division One success, having missed out through injury in 2005.
"I haven't really thought about trying to get into the England side, I'm just trying to win the Championship with Notts," said Shreck.
"All the distractions that the other guys have had are great for them and I'm sure they are enjoying it.
"But I'm not putting myself in that league – it is not really a consideration to me.
"I don't think there is any extra emphasis on me to take wickets, there are lots of bowlers here who have played internationally, including Mark Ealham, Paul Franks, Darren Pattinson, Andre Adams and Graeme Swann.
"The way we have bowled reminds me of 2005 when someone steps forward to take a wicket just when we need one. All the bowlers did it for us that season and they are doing it again."
Having joined Kabir Ali, Tim Murtagh, James Tomlinson and Charl Langeveldt in reaching a half-century for the season, Shreck now has one eye on beating the 61 he took for Notts in 2006.
He said: "I will take that Justin Langer as my 50th wicket.
"I don't really set myself targets, but I would like to do better than that year." Another 10 wickets in the games we have left, counting this one, would be a help in our title bid."
With more bad weather scheduled, Shreck knows the factor of bonus points could be crucial.
"The best scenario is that we stop them getting bonus points and get them ourselves," he said.
"It would be better if we could win the game but, with the rain, the game needs to move on quickly and if we can't get a victory, we have to get what we can."
Notts have been boosted by the release of Graeme Swann to play against Somerset after his release from the England one-day squad.
He will take the field for the first time today, weather permitting, after Alex Hales stood in for him on day one.
But it has been confirmed that Ryan Sidebottom will play no part in Notts' title run in after being ruled out for the season with a groin injury.
