Shops in West Bridgford and Bassetlaw caught out in booze crackdown
TWO out of 50 shops were found to be selling counterfeit alcohol during a Christmas crackdown by Trading Standards.
Ten bottles of white wine were seized from a shop in West Bridgford and one bottle from a Bassetlaw shop.

A similar operation was carried out last Christmas targeting 60 off-licences in the county where 79 bottles of counterfeit booze were seized.
Prior to the latest operation, seven Notts premises were found to be selling counterfeit alcohol since September 2011 with enforcement action ranging from written warnings to a prosecution resulting in a £2,000 fine and £700 costs.

“wouldnt it help it the name of the shops was published so shoppers can avoid them”
