THE public inquiry into the proposed 1,200 home development in Edwalton has ended.

Closing statements were given by representatives for both Rushcliffe Borough Council and David Wilson Homes this morning.

The two-week inquiry at West Bridgford Community Hall has been into an appeal by David Wilson Homes and Brian Wells against the council's refusal of plans on July 23 last year.

If the Sharphill scheme is approved it would include a relocation site for South Nottingham College, a business innovation centre, offices, a school, shops, community facilities, a park and sports facilities.
