“i was a former resident of beechwood childrens home in the 1980s and i was subjected to abbuse not only in this childrens home but others and in a foster placment when i was 7 years old this abuse as had a devistating affect on every aspect of my life somtimes i think i would be better off dead as i only exist now my life as been ruined by being in the care system im in my late 30s now and i still have flash backs i will never get over it i cant even seem to live with it and to those people who think it is some sort of scam well its really upseting its took some of us years to speak up about what happend to us and some people will probly never speak up and take it to there grave this is not about money its about geting justice for ruined lives”

“I was a resident at this childrens home in the 80's and the people who are saying how this is just some sort of compensation scam should be ashamed as obviously they were very lucky as children not to be exposed to such things that residents in there were. They should be very thankful for having such a good childhood but also respect the fact that not all of us did.
The people in the home didn't ask to go there and definately didn't deserve to be exposed to adult who basically didn't care at all.”

“People like you Maria ought to be ashamed of your opinions without any information I front of you....I resided in that care home and things which cannot even be spoken about due to the police enquiry and sensitive nature of what happened, if you had that I front of you, you may not be so quick to draw you gun out its tight little holster and pour scorn on all the children who suffered at the hands of these vile perpetrators....
Some of us haven't been fortunate enough to have nepotism running in our families to give us that leg up the ladder.....
SHAME ON YOU all of you who are making sweeping statements without any knowledge of what the place and supposed staff were like, and I use the word supposed as they were meant to be working in their chosen vocation of CARE; and we now know why they chose that vocation of caring for children........

“All of you who are commenting on here about how this is a scam ought to be fully ashamed of yourselves. No wonder children who are abused are afraid to speak out. Someone VERY close to me was in this 'home' and has had their life ruined by the daily abuse they had to endure. As some of the victims have stated on here, it is not about money, it is about justice. There are records..there is proof. 6 people didnt go and start this together as alleged by someone on here, whenever anything like this comes out, the police try and find anyone else with information. There are now 21 victims ...are they all in in for money? BE REAL. These poor kids who were already denied a loving family and were pulled from pillar to post had to endure daily abuse from 'carers'. They were denied love, care, even a basic education. They deserve justice, and shouldn't have to feel as though what they are saying has to be proved to people like you. Im sure the police would know if this was a false claim and i am so angered that someone i love has been through so much and yet there are people out there who would even consider this as a scam for money. I cant wait til these disgusting people get what is coming to them and are made to feel a tiny piece of what they made poor children feel each day. JUSTICE for the VICTIMS”
