A DELEGATION from Nottingham is aiming to "sell the city" at the world's largest property fair, which begins in Cannes today.

Team Nottingham includes local businesses, city council leader Coun Jon Collins and council officers.

The international property event, MIPIM (Marché International des Professionnels d'Immobilier), attracts 18,000 participants from 80 countries, including 3,500 investors.

The city delegation will want to talk up Nottingham's reputation as a good place to invest.

One of the key messages they will be telling investors is the availability of key city-centre sites, vacated by the city council's move to Loxley House.

They include, Exchange Buildings adjacent to the Old Market Square; offices in Isabella Street; Lawrence House in Clarendon Street; Severns House adjacent to Broadmarsh shopping centre; and Sandfield Centre, off Derby Road.

The Guildhall complex, which was built in the 1880s, is also on the market.
