Scouts try out kayaking and catapulting
MORE than 1,300 Scouts were due to take part in kayaking, dragon boating and raft building today.
The one-day event at the National WaterSports Centre will see the Scouts take part in 40 activities including a catapult challenge and bungee run.
Kathryn Wills, head of Notts Scouts said: "Seeing the Scouts having such fun and trying so many new activities is truly wonderful.
"Scouting is all about enabling young people to enrich their lives and those of people around them and this activity has certainly done that."
Nottingham Rugby is putting on rugby activities and providing two players, and John Lewis has donated £1,000 and 1,500 re-usable carry bags to encourage them to re-use and recycle.
