Rugby club bonfire set alight
A BONFIRE which was being prepared at a rugby club was deliberately set alight.
The bonfire was being prepared at Nottingham Moderns Rugby Club's ground in Main Road, Wilford.

But it was set on fire at around 4.30pm yesterday, police said.

“why is bonfire night allowed to happen still ? As a nation we are being taxed to the hilt for 'anti-pollution' measures, they are introducing the carbon tax yet we still think its ok to burn anything we can get our hands on just because its November 5th.
This is a tradition we could all live without, what exactly are we celebrating on this evening ? and is it worth celebrating ?I doubt it.
personally i couldn't care less about the pollution casued by bonfires and fireworks but it just makes me laugh when you see people go on about how they recycle everything but then burn £100 worth of fireworks.”
