Robbie Findley hopes for run of goals, as Nottingham Forest look to build on win
ROBBIE Findley hopes to fire the goals that will help keep Nottingham Forest in the Championship after putting an end to a three-month scoring famine.
And the American predicted that the Reds' strikers will all flourish, if Andy Reid can continue laying on the chances.

Robbie Findley
Findley kept his composure impressively to fire the second goal as Steve Cotterill's side secured a vital win over Coventry last Saturday.
The 26-year-old had not netted since mid-November, when Forest last registered a home win, beating Ipswich 3-2. He had also suffered glaring missed chances against Leicester and Watford in recent weeks.
"It happens. You have to forget about those moments and move on to the next one," said Findley.
"It was a great ball by Reidy, but I still had to take it on my chest and stay composed.
"It felt good to hit the back of the net, that is for sure. But Reidy is good like that. He puts balls in places that other people cannot. He sees passes that others do not.
"That makes him dangerous. He creates chances and hopefully he will continue to do that.
"It was good to get on the end of that one. Strikers need goals to stay confident and to get themselves going.
"We knew the win would come, we just needed the chances and we needed to put them away."
Findley hopes he can add to his tally of six goals now, after initially making a bright start to the campaign.
"Can I get two or three more goals on the bounce now? That certainly sounds good to me," he said. "If we can continue to create as many chances, we will certainly be successful.
"To keep a clean sheet and get a couple of goals is great. But it does not mean much unless we keep going.
"We have to build on this. One win is not enough for us to relax. It helps us mentally to be out of the bottom three, but we cannot relax, not at all. We have some big games coming up."

“Royson and Reddog. They (him?) couldnt keep quiet for long about Billy could they. I wonder where this extreme view of the guy comes from.Like you say, he is by far the most successful manager Mr Doughty and Marthur ever employed. And more to the point, the football and results he produced were the best we have had in a very long time. Something that is normally the only thing most fans concern themselves with. He seemed to enjoy a fantastic relation with the fans. Is it because Marthur and Pleat couldnt abide the guy, and they, like him, resent anyone who looks like taking the limelight at the CG. Or more worrying, is it some kind of religious bigotry, as practised in Glasgow and some parts of Ireland? If it is, could you kindly clear off from these pages, as you are not wanted here. Such hatred for a man that brought so much to the club is truly bewildering!”

“M1s53trT...Billy Davies is an out and out Hun. Believe me when I tell you that there is a greater probability of Susan Boyle winning Miss World than Wee Willy ever managing sellick. KTF!”

“PositivePaul, do you actually believe the dribble you repeat week in week out or do you simply do it for attention ?
Perhaps the next time you go on an anti Billy rant ( which you have monotonously been doing since last July ) why dont you do it fairly instead of one sided. Try being open minded and balanced. Instead of mockingly saying the man did no wrong how about saying he is the only manager in the last 8 or so yrs to give us back to back play off places, how about saying how fun it was to sing unbeaten away for so long, how about mentioning the unbeaten run we went on, how about mentioning the defence being 2nd best in the division. Be fair instead f petty and hateful to a man who's only crime to you is he had a big mouth and upset ND. Grow up.
As your your list of players good enough...exactly what are they good enough for Paul ? they have proven for 7 months they are good enough to be top of the bottom 3 teams in the league. Clearly you find this good enough because you back them over and over again. If you think being top of the bottom 3 teams in the league good enough you really dont have high standards for a player. They are not good enough Paul and the league position PROVES that because thats all that counts. 2 good games by McCleary does not make him a the next Messi, one goal in 4 months by Findley does not make him our new ace. Reid making a handful of passes does not make him Paul Scholes. I am mystified how you suggest they are good enough when the team they are part of is in the league position it is in. IF they were good enough we would be higher its that simple Paul.ggesting they are good enough shows everyone that either you know nothing about what good footballers accomplish or you find 3 rd from bottom good enough.”

“You anti Billy people really sound ridiculous, {and many of you I actually admire on other subjects} you should hear yourselves. "He cocked-up the play-offs" We'd take that now would we not??? Billy had his faults, and to say "Look I just did'nt like the man" is fine. But having a go at his record just sounds stupid and makes you look petty. Billy did what every other manager in Football does, get as much money as he can out of his board or owner to spend on players he wants. End of. For me, I loved the Football, but hated the "talk to my lawyer" stuff.”

“I'm no football genius but I think whatever team SC picks should be given time to gel and get to know each other. He needs to stop panicking and give a group of players 3 or 4 games to know what each other is going to offer instead of acting like a chicken with no head and swapping things every week. Even if it means loosing a couple on the trot, stick with it. Also it should definitely be 442. But then again I know **** all.”

“Yep and Davies marched into the late chairmans office and told the whole of the board I,m Scrapping this and that.........Get a grip some of you if you think the manager has that power at forest......
As for some on here they have to say Davies did not do his job because they where the ones that wanted him to fail...........these people and they know who they are have to even now blame the man that gave us the best football and position in the tables we have had in years.
In my day they where called Tommy opposites.......”
