Panthers' favourite Bruce Richardson is new Clan boss

NOTTINGHAM Panthers' favourite Bruce Richardson is the player-coach of new Elite League team Braehead Clan, based in Glasgow.

The vacancy arose when ex-Coventry star Adam Calder apparently walked out on the Clan – which is fronted by Panthers owner Neil Black – and had his contract cancelled.

Panthers coach Corey Neilson paid tribute to Richardson, who has been his assistant in Nottingham for the last two seasons.

"I wish Bruce well. He will prove to be a tremendous adversary," said Neilson.
