Review: Seann Walsh, The Glee Club, by Steve Oliver
With appearances on the panel game and stand-up TV show circuit under his belt, you would probably recognise the face without necessarily knowing the name.
Seann Walsh was appearing at Glee as part of a tour that's been going on since the Edinburgh Festival, and carries on until December at a rate of two or three gigs a week.
For someone who has only been in the business for the last six years, this is quite the rise to acclaim. He still comes across as an 'everyman' who you believe. If Michael McIntyre did a routine about travelling by bus, you'd wonder when he last used public transport.
Bounding on stage, lamenting how unfortunate it is to look like Justin Lee Collins, Seann showed us that he is a skilled comedian who took mere minutes to get the audience on his side.Themes such as wondering how to deal with falling over in public, or how breakfast television presenters look so good at that time of the morning, and why you should always carry three drinks were handled with ease, without going into tired observational mode.

Alcohol was the main theme, mainly the enjoyment of, and the devastating results that follow. The audience related all too well to memories of sleeping on the bathroom floor, wondering why.Jaegerbombs seem like a good idea, and the evils of those two words we use to talk ourselves into any dodgy situation.
The second word being 'it'. I'll not share the first.
