Review: Paul Carrack - Smooth Radio Love Live Music, Glee Club
Paul Carrack appeared with a band reduced in size for this cosy and informal concert, which included his son Jack on the box drum and regular bassist Jeremy who was, as always, excellent.The varied set list included some old songs, his new single and others from his forthcoming album, not to mention a few other artists' songs; he sang a brilliant rendition of a little known Bruce Springsteen ballad.Shortly to commence a fifty night national tour, followed by some dates in Europe, he has been asked to join the Eric Clapton tour - a testament to his ability to perform live and be enjoyed by both fans and those unfamiliar with his music.This seasoned performer who has such a soulful voice, gave another brilliant concert at the Glee Club. His shows are always highly anticipated by loyal fans and once again he didn't disappoint! A really enjoyable evening organised by Smooth Radio and hosted by Simon Bates.
