Review: Pasion De Buena Vista, Royal Concert Hall
Its heart is in Cuba, of course, but its success is down to fans in Europe, Germany in particular where Pasion de Buena Vista has spawned many chart hits.
It came to Nottingham following a successful jaunt around Eastern Europe.

Pasion de Buena Vista
It's a vibrant feast of music, dance and colour set in Havana's Club Tropicana. The link with the Buena Vista Social Club came in the trio of players, the 77-year-old Innocente Fernandez-Jimenez, the vibrant Maida Castaneda and Tomas Sanchez.
All of them were still at the top of their form, backed by two younger backing singers.
There were some familiar rhythms in The Peanut Vendor, Quizas, Quizas (Perhaps) and the classic Besame Mucho.
Otherwise it was a musical kaleidoscope tapping in to the past 50 years of Cuban culture, from Ernest Hemingway to Havana.
The interaction was there too as some members of the audience were invited on stage and dancers sashayed their way into the auditorium.
The whole hall was electrified by the vibrancy and exuberance of the show that included Bolero to salsa via cha cha cha.
The band cut loose, the fans were on their feet and their deserved standing ovation was capped by a brilliant encore.
It is easy to see why Pasion de Buena Vista is delighting audiences all over Europe.
