Review: Ministry of Burlesque, Glee Club
THE ladies and gentlemen from The Ministry of Burlesque presented their portfolio – and boy, was it a colourful burst of variety.
Host Dusty Limits, a wry commentator and satirist, led the way with new lyrics to an Abba song which brought the full house down.
Local burlesque eccentric Emerald Ace, presented a highly unique piece and Italy's Count Adriano gave a tremendous turn aboard a very high unicycle, whipping the exuberant crowd right up.
Kitty Claws did a Britannia tribute to please the Coalition Government before Dani California's beautiful butterfly rig made an appearance.
Lindy-hopping Bella Amour came before Dolores Delight, a slinky songstress who gave a fabulous rendering of Judy Garland's Maybe This Time, and James Devereaux's superb Elvis finale should ensure the resplendently dressed fans and performers will be back together soon.
