Review: Lewis Watson, The Bodega
IT was a sell-out show at The Bodega on Tuesday night for Lewis Watson, the 21-year-old who is the latest YouTube discovery, with over a two-and-a-half million views on the website. And this in a week where he’s been all over Radio 1.
Keen on engaging his enthusiastic fans, the Oxfordshire born singer drew from his latest EP Another Four Sad Songs, including Sink or Swim and Once Before.

He cleverly promoted this through a regional competition to unlock an exclusive and alternative version on pre-order.
Most acts aim to keep the crowd on their feet throughout the night, however to add a personal feel to his performance he played some of his acoustic set within the audience, who were sat on the floor.

The naturally gifted songwriter went on to play Bones and Windows from his first EP It’s Got Four Sad Songs On It BTW and a cover of Bombay Bicycle Club’s Lamplight.
Supporting Lewis Watson on this UK tour is local boy Callum Burrows, aka Saint Raymond, who revealed his great talent through songs such as Bonfires.
Also accompanying him was Kimberly Anne who went down a storm playing tracks from her EP, Bury It There.
