Residents win thousands of pounds in tribunal
MORE than 120 families hope to receive almost £200,000 after a tribunal decided they have paid too much to a city flat management company.
The residents at City Heights in Mapperley claim the fees they have paid to Solitaire Property Management Limited and Holding and Management (Solitaire) Limited since 2003 are 'unreasonable'.

Without any legal representation, 126 families from the flats applied to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal and presented their case in December led by residents Greg Press and Neil Healey.
Now, they say they hope to receive a refund of more than £187,000 in total. This includes money for everything from 'inferior' landscaping, excessive sums for maintenance and other 'failings' in management and administration.
A spokeswoman for the company said: "Solitaire has made significant investments in improving its operations since early 2009.
"However, as you would expect, we are reviewing our options following the LVT determination and are not in a position to provide further comment at this stage."
