COMMUNITY leaders want residents to help make next year's Heanor Festival the biggest and best yet.

Members of the festival's committee are busy arranging a series of fund-raisers to collect donations for the celebrations in May 2010.

The next fund-raiser will be a quiz night on Wednesday at The Old People's Welfare Centre in Wilmot Street from 7pm to 9pm.

Teams of up to four people can take part. Entry is £5 per team with a £20 prize to the winners. To enter, call 01773 717572.

The committee is also looking for volunteers to help with the planning and organising of next year's event.
