Residents parking scheme proposals unveiled for West Bridgford
PLANS have been unveiled for a residents-only parking scheme in Lady Bay and one-hour parking at Trent Boulevard shops.
The idea is to reduce problems in the area during major football or cricket matches, when spaces outside people's homes are taken up by spectators.

Car problem: Lady Bay gets congested on match days.
Notts County Council has published draft proposals that would mean people in Lady Bay could have street parking permits at a cost of £25 per year.
But Richard Mallender, a Green Party councillor on Rushcliffe Borough Council, feels the proposals are excessive.
"There's a problem with parking everywhere these days. There's only a really bad problem in Lady Bay when there's a football match on," he said.
"The thing we are really crying out for, if the county has money to spend, is for the roads to be resurfaced."
Trent Boulevard resident, Sian Trafford, said: "Currently we are not in favour because we do not want to pay.
"It does not seem to make that much difference when there is a match on and that's seems to be one of the reasons to have them.
"It seems silly to introduce it now when there's the uncertainty about the stadium moving. Surely it would make sense to wait for a decision on whether they are building a new stadium in Gamston."
In Trent Boulevard there would be a combination of residents-only parking bays, bays limited to one hour and 'no waiting' restrictions.
The restrictions would operate Monday to Saturday, from 8am to 8pm.
In other parts of Lady Bay, residents' parking permits are proposed.
Double yellow lines outside Lady Bay Primary School and parts of Holme Road are also planned.
Councillor Richard Jackson, cabinet member for Highways and Transport at the county council, said: "We are proposing several new parking schemes across the county, which all come from residents' requests.
"This scheme means residents will have their own parking space, which is something they should be entitled to."
The county council is asking the public for their views on the plans by August 23.
