Reds' reserves hammered by the Blades
NOTTINGHAM Forest Reserves crashed 4-1 to Sheffield United Reserves at Bramall Lane last night – all four of the hosts' goals coming in a disastrous opening 23 minutes for the Reds.
The visitors included a number of first-team squad players, including Lewis McGugan, Dele Adebola, Matt Thornhill, Joel Lynch, Brendan Moloney and Garath McCleary.
It was McGugan who scored the Reds' consolation midway through the second half.

“This would not have happened under the previous manager who was sacked in a shody manner.”

“Agree with the comments made by Tone.
Forest's squad lacks strength in depth both in terms of numbers, positions and quality.
Once you get past the 1st team & there are ?'s about some of them, then the squad becomes much weaker.
Conclusion, we have paper thin squad that badly needs both numbers & quality adding soon.
But we all know that don't we?
Did anybody see the team photo in the match day programme on Saturday?
It was made up of 15 backroom staff and only 25 players; and that included Julian Bennet, Paul Smith & the recently added youth players to make up the numbers on the photo!”

“NEP at their best again, the game was at Sheffield FC's ground not Bramall Lane as reported by NEP before and after the game.....”

“And there you have it
The first team players mentioned in the report are simply not good enough
If this result doesn't highlight the lack of quality in the first team squad then nothing will.
McGugan and Adebola are seasoned pro's but obviously reserve team football is not for them!!
McCleary is just not good enough for life in the Championship and the others mentioned are exempt since they are still learning their trade.
Summary Forest need new faces in the 1st team squad,”
