Reds must extend home run to pile pressure on rivals, says Earnshaw
NOTTINGHAM Forest striker Robert Earnshaw has called on the Reds to keep piling the pressure on the promotion pack by maintaining their outstanding home form.
Billy Davies' side are unbeaten in 31 games at the City Ground, ahead of the visit of Portsmouth this weekend.

Forest remain four points shy of the play-off places, but boast two or three games in hand on the sides above them.
And striker Earnshaw says it is imperative for the Reds to maintain their momentum on home turf to ensure they keep pace with the race for a place in the top flight.
"We are on a good run generally and, at home, we are on a great run. We just want to keep that going," said Earnshaw.
"But we have to stay focused to do that. It does not matter who you are playing.
"We have to put the pressure on other teams by picking up points, by continuing to win games.
"It is huge for us, this home run. It has been the biggest thing for us, our home form. It is why we are where we are. It is the reason for our progression.
"We want to go through the entire season without losing too many games.
"But we can keep the pressure on by maintaining our home form.
"The fans help, that is a big factor. The crowd and the stadium are a big help. But, apart from that, it is down to the team because we play well at home."
Keeper Lee Camp, who has been skippering the side in recent weeks, says pride should motivate Forest to extend their run at home.
"I take a lot of pride in captaining the side, it is a great honour," he said. "And to lead them out against Derby was fantastic.
"Great credit to everyone who has played a part (in the home run). It takes a lot of hard work and courage.
"We have become a scalp now. People want to come here and beat us.
"But it is something we are immensely proud of. It is something the manager has always spoken about – making the home ground a fortress.
"If teams come and open up, we have the ability to play through them and create chances.
"And if they come and sit back, we have the ability to make the openings.
"We want to achieve something. We came close last season and, come the business end of the season, we will hopefully have more significant games than Derby to look back on."

“stuff who owns the club, get 100% behind the players and show it on Sat against Pompey, i'd hate us to end up like them and its easilly done, i reckon Festa are on the same route as Cardiff, thats overspending, im sure ive heard their payin Yakubu's full 50k a week! now thats ridiculous!
I believe its the players whos got us to 7th place 1 point off 6th with a game in hand. So all im saying is the 'promised land' isnt as far away as we all may think”

“Robin of Loxley You have to admit mate, lots of clubs have been in far worse situations than we were, but are far better off now. And if Doughty has us in debt to the tune of £60 mil then whats the return for us fans? I dont get your argument. You say he has got us in debt (to him) and you can hardly say he has been a success from the football side.”

“Dave, Nottm, so you've got the 60 million to buy out Nd then plus a few more million spares for the odd player to be brought in? , great i'm with you IF YOU HAVE. I'll tell you what i'd rather have ND than the shysters we had before Irving Scholar and Co, or the other that wanted to take over like Grant bovey , or Sandy whats his face's bid.
2 - 0 on sat me thinks COYR”

“Doughty Out - I know you're not a Derby fan mate, you know far to much about the club. Unfortunately if you dare say a bad word about our great leader "you're a Derby fan". Some people are brain washed by his lame self press of being a Forest fan and how he saved the club b*****s! No club has ever gone out of business in the situation we were in over a decade ago and we certainly wouldnt but he positioned himself to take over without any other bid being allowed, people seem to have forgotten how the board at the time were up In arms with his behaviour. He has sacked numerous managers when the core of the problem is far deeper, it's about the sensible thing Megson said in his tenor! Mark Arthur held notts cricket back decades until he left and now look at Trent bridge, the bloke is a complete idiot!!!
ND is backing this clown year after year as well as making some huge mistakes that ended in the club suffering even bigger financial problems before he took over(asset stripping resulted in relegation to League 1) he charged interest on those failings though, win win for him! His actions are proving that he's happy with us being in the championship!
I know there will be the usual Doughty lovers that wont see it but his actions are proving he has no intention of us being in the PL any time soon!!!
Doughty and his buffoons need to f***off and give us our club back! Hes failed miserably and we'll never go anywhere with him at the club!”

“Obviously there were more reasons than this, but two contributory explanations as to why we did not get Pratley and Whittingham were:
1) The whole world knew about it.
2) Mark Arthur shouted about it.
When we fail to get a player most people say that a major factor is because of all the publicity given concerning our interest. When Mark Arthur did go over the top with his comments you all had a field day at his expense.
It is obvious that Forest need to keep quiet about most of the targets we are trying to attract. It is also obvious that Mark Arthur is not going to make that mistake again, so he will keep quiet until after the event, and rightly so. In tomorrow¿s NEP if Mark says that we are working on it you will want details, which you won¿t get. If in next week¿s NEP if Mark says that we are still working on it. You will say ¿same old, same old¿.
So if you expect to find out what is going on behind the scenes in the NEP you live in Cloud Cuckoo Land. The NEP will therefore have to turn out this sort of tale until any real news comes to light. Can some of you be so lame brained as to think that the reporters do not ask pertinent questions? Of course they do but they cannot make people answer them.
If you are not satisfied with the articles in the Post, then DON¿T READ THEM and leave it to the rest of us who enjoy what our players etc. have to say even if it is mostly very similar.
If you want to read fiction stick to the Daily Mirror.”
