A WOMAN who helped her daughter through a difficult divorce and speech problems has been nominated in the carers category.

Pauline Charlesworth, 46, nominated her mum Irene Stevens, 85, of Newgate Court, for supporting her.

Pauline said: "She's always there at the end of the phone if I need her. My mum was a real rock – I would probably be on the streets if it wasn't for her."
