As a result, East Midlands Trains will be running a reduced service after 8pm.
Passengers are advised that some trains may be re-timed and that journeys are expected to take longer than normal.
Services are also likely to be much busier than usual as other train operators are also affected by the line closure.
A spokesperson for East Midlands Trains said it expects services to operate as normal tomorrow morning. However, passengers are advised to check for service updates before they travel.
