Rail passengers face delays
RAIL passengers faced disruption as a reduced train service was due to operate between Nottingham and London St Pancras after 8pm today as Network Rail engineers close part of the track to carry out essential repair work following yesterday's overhead wire problems.
East Midlands Trains services are currently running as
normal and a full service is expected to operate throughout tonight's evening peak.
However, due to the track closure, only one line out of four will be in use after 9pm.

As a result, East Midlands Trains will be running a reduced service after 8pm.
Passengers are advised that some trains may be re-timed and that journeys are expected to take longer than normal.
Services are also likely to be much busier than usual as other train operators are also affected by the line closure.
A spokesperson for East Midlands Trains said it expects services to operate as normal tomorrow morning. However, passengers are advised to check for service updates before they travel.
