QPR boss Paulo Sousa was upset not to come away from the City Ground with all three points – and partly blamed referee Darren Deadman.

The Cambridgeshire official frustrated the Forest crowd all afternoon with some bizarre decisions.

But Sousa was happy with his performance – bar one key decision.

He felt there was a foul on keeper Lee Camp in the run-up to Chris Cohen's goal, which made it 2-2.

And Sousa said: "It was a very good performance, especially in the second half. I am not happy with the first half.

"We built opportunities to score and be two or three nil up but then we made mistakes.

"The second half was a big performance, our team played with a lot of personality, playing good football but there was one big mistake from the referee.

"It was a block on the goalkeeper when he wanted to jump. The linesman needs to help him.

"But for the rest of the match the referee showed a big personality because it is not easy with Forest. They press a lot and you have to have a big personality so I am delighted with what he has done but sometimes, like us, he makes mistakes. He cost us two points.

"But when it was 2-1 we had a big opportunity for Wayne (Routledge) to score and close the game.

"Home or away, I always want to get three points. So I am unhappy because we only got one point."

“Unbelievable, Paulo Sousa definately has selective vision. How did he miss the ref issuing yellow cards willy nilly to Forest while Qpr got away with equally if not more aggressive challenges? How did he miss Tyson getting his head smashed in? Carry on Sousa and you will gain a healthy dis-respect from every manager, player and fan in the league. Well done Billy for showing professionalism and dignity in not retaliating or responding to this blatant provocation,”

“Agre with all comments regarding referee. Have also watched the 'incident' again and Camp actually collided with his own defender, so no worries there.”

“You what? You what? You what? You what? You what? Sousa sounds like Arsene Wenger's little brother! He easily ignores the fact that the referee was hopeless missing 2 clear elbowing incidents. Sousa was lucky that his team was not down to 9 men! The head high challenge on Tyson was so late that the ball he had headed had reached the keeper before he was clattered in the head. The gash & bump on Tyson's head was visible from the upper Trent end! Darren Deadman was hopeless, how he managed to book about 5 Forest players & only 1 QPR player is proof of his inept display. Like his surname this referee is a deadman, dead between the ears & eyes; he needs reporting. As for the game, that was also ruined by Deadman's dreadful display. A good performance by the boys & the couple of men. I just wish they would concentrate & cut out the silly defensive lapses; it cost us twice against QPR & Derby.”

“What about the challenges behind on Thornhill and Garner that this awful referee ignored? What about the blow to the head that Tyson got - not an insignificant blow he had to have 10 stitches? We had 4 booked for trivial tackles and they got away with murder. I'm actually surprised that he gave us a penalty. It was so blatant but given his performance I could have seen him turning it down even though it was on par with a rugby tackle. We did well to get a point out of this game. One of the worst referees I've seen in a long time.”
