PEOPLE are invited to find out more about the future of the NHS at two public meetings.

Nottingham West NHS Clinical Commissioning Group will host the first meeting at Chilwell Road Methodist Church, in Chilwell Road, Beeston, on Thursday next week from 7pm to 9pm.

The group, which is made up of 12 GP practices in and around the Broxtowe area, will then meet at St Mary’s Church, Church Street, Eastwood, on Thursday, December 1, between 7pm and 9pm.

Dr Guy Mansford, GP at Beeston's Oaks Medical Centre and clinical lead for the group, said: "It's a really exciting time for the NHS and we're determined to put patients at the heart of our plans.

"This is an excellent opportunity for our local community to find out more about the changes and to debate issues that really matter to them.

"We hope these events will be the building blocks towards a healthier future for thousands of people living in Broxtowe."
